YOUR ROLE

In this role as Transport Manager you will manage and coordinate the activities and operations of the Car Transport Department in the FVL (Finished Vehicle Logistic) site of Oosterhout. You like to do this in the most efficient and effective way together with your team in Oosterhout. You work closely with the other managers on site and with your team to make the business grow and the customer happy.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

• You will coordinate, plan and oversee tasks and operations involving car transportation

activities with the team striving for quality, quantity, financial commitments and customer

satisfaction.

• New strategies? You develop these together with the team and streamline the processes
• You collect information and analyses the needs of an internal / external client, explore

feasibility and prioritize.

• Monitoring of evolutions linked to innovation and optimized sustainable solutions that

would enable to continued improved performance that deliver competitive advantage.

• You strive to achieve the KPI’s and business targets by maintaining and monitoring the

effectiveness of deliveries.

• You produce and deliver stretching transport operational budgets that drive continued

improvement in operating cost per case.

• You ensure with the team that a positive customer experience is delivered on each and every

delivery.

• You supervise in a coaching but also result-oriented way the transport team (despatchers,

drivers and administrative staff) by which continuous improvement in the field of efficiency

and quality is guaranteed.

• You know the expertise and level of each team member and organize the tasks and

activities accordingly, in order to ensure that tasks are properly coordinated.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• You have relevant experience in Transportation / fleet management
• Knowledge of transportation management systems is a plus
• You know the best work gets done together as a team: you value teambuilding through your

leadership and motivational skills, drives engagement, instill trust

• You can build strong and effective relationships with customers and colleagues
• Continuous improvement and innovation is important to you
• You have experience in financial analysis or you would like to figure out the data
• You are a Dutch speaker with a good knowledge of English
